One-day workshop for Tourism Stakeholders

You are warmly invited to attend a one-day workshop for tourism stakeholders on Thursday 22 October at Westin Resort in Denarau Nadi. Please see a copy of the workshop program below.

This workshop is brought to you by Australian Volunteers International’s (AVI) Child Safe Volunteering (CSV) Hub project in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport (MCTT) and funded by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

The aim of the workshop is to:

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing about responsible tourism practises and child safeguarding.
  • Business owners and partners have an understanding of child safe tourism practices and measures.
  • Business owners and partners can identify what child safe practices are in place and how they can strengthen their practices.
  • Role tour operators play in keeping children and communities safe.

The MCTT Minister and Permanent Secretary have confirmed their attendance to the workshop and a DFAT representative will be present as well.
